Hi,
I appeared for the stamping with wife and kid at Chennai consulate. Mine is a cap-exempt transfer from my previous employer.The VO was friendly, had few words with my kid and started with few questions
(Note: I work for an reputed company with large presence in US)
VO - you have been to US multiple times..
me- Yes, have been for business purpose and last one was on H1 for work.
VO - yes, I see the records. And you din't say long on your previous visa..?
me - Yep, I had to come back to India for personal reasons.
VO - And you din't take your family last time.
me - Smiled and said yes, but this time I'm planning to take them.
VO - smiled and said thats good.
VO - Sir, can I see your I797?
me - gave the original
VO - How long are you with this new employer?
me - for 3.5 years.
VO - Pls show me client letter
me - sorry I don't have one
VO - went and discussed with the VO on next counter, came back and handedover blue 221g and said sorry to kid.
Submitted the documents and waiting.
