I am working as business analyst in an insurance company in IT dept. in Philly. I did my MS in Engineering Science and thesis in Biomedical area. When i applied for F1 in 2009 i got a pink slip which took 5 weeks to resolve and got F1 visa from 2009 till 2014.
I went for first H1B stamping on Sept 7. The VO asked me about my job (797 only did not ask about employment letter) on H1 and on opt period and then started asking about my MS program. Then VO looked into the computer and said you did something in biomed explain. As i was explaining she pulled out blue slip and asked me to submit resume. I did that and then VO said they don't need any thing for now it will take between 2 to 4 weeks to resolve.
Does anyone know
1.how much is avg wait time in Ottawa to clear blue slip?
2. what will happen now (TAL/Mantis?).
3. Will it help if i inform my school and thesis adviser to be proactive if any query comes?
4 Is there any one else who is or was stuck in Ottawa (now or in the past)?
