This is my husband's case. only question asked was highest level of education.my husband holds a PhD in biology and has been a post doc before. currently in transition to a career far away from the lab- to healthcare consulting. He did get a 221g last time which was approved in 18 days, this time not so lucky! I guess peak travel time and holiday period in US doesn't help any of us in processing times! Good luck to all. Case Creation date: Dec 01 2016. Date Updated: 30 Dec 2016( AP) 2nd Date Updated: 4 Jan 2017( Still AP!) 3rd Update: Issued : 5 Jan 2017 Passport collected jan 6 2017 In all 35 days of uncertainty. There is certainly a better way to do it. I hope the Department of State and DHS come up with a better process.
