I am a PhD grad working with a national lab. I had H1B I797 approval. Visited some family in Canada and hence went to Ottawa for stamping. They asked for my resume, which I did not bring (IT WASN'T ON THE REQUIRED DOCUMENTS LIST!!). They gave a blue slip and asked me to email resume, list of publications and summary of research. They returned my passport and all other documents. Emailed the required docs the very day itself and after almost a month, got an email today saying I should courier passport.
