I went for my interview on 20th December, 2016. I have a PhD in engineering and I was asked questions about my PhD research and my job description. After a grueling interview, I was surprised that the VO said my visa was approved. I came back home happy.
After 2 days, I got an email saying they need more documents from me under 221(g). I sent them all the documents on 29th December, 2016. I DID NOT get any acknowledgement/confirmation from the Chennai consulate. Anyone from Chennai consulate - did you get an acknowledgement saying that they received the documents after you sent them the documents via email? Please let me know.
I emailed the documents again hoping to get a reply from the consulate - but no reply. I called and emailed the customer service center. They have escalated the case to the consulate, but the consulate hasn't got back to them as well. I'm worried now. Is it OK if I don't get any confirmation after sending the documents? Does anyone know?
