I came to India for dec vacay for 3 weeks. Went for stamping in my first week and got unexpected 221g as my masters come under TAL. I was totally unfamiliar of 221g. I am in US from last 7 years and this was my 3rd stamping. Working on H4 EAD in an IT company which have no relation to my research done 8 years ago. Basically whole trip got screwed up. Though my employer was good as they extended my vacay. But no salary for the month of jan and had to cancel my and my son's ticket, so much money to drain. I used to read all the forums and used to get upset, seeing some folk's stuck for indefinite time period. If your case is under TAL, be assure of visa getting approved in 5 weeks. Some people who are lucky even got in 3 weeks. Enjoy ur time and stay positive as nothing you can do.
