Hello, I work as a scientist in a National Lab in the US. I have a PhD in aerospace engg from the US,
i had no problems in my F1 and my first H1-B stamping. I am here again for renewal and this happens.
I did the "interview waiver dropbox" submission in Kochi.
Jan 9 - submitted documents at VFS
Jan 12 - CEAC website said administrative processing
Jan 19 - passport tracker said ready for pick up
Jan 20 - picked up passport with blue form
The blue form did not indicate any need for additional documents. It said "we will contact you with further instructions"
Since then I have no update. I have emailed [email protected] and chennalH&L - they gave me their standard response.
Feb 1 noon - chennaiH&L replied asking me to resubmit passport at VFS or VAC
Feb 2 - went to Chennai; submitted passport at VAC - "he said visa is final processing
It will take 5 business days excluding today"
Feb 3 - admin proc
Feb 7 - admin proc
Feb 9 noon - issued
Feb 13 noon - collect pport email
