Hi,
I am eligible for drop box, so i submitted my documents on 2/21/2017 and the case was created on the same day and it is changed to admin processing on the same day. Within 2 days i was asked to collect the passport and i found the blue slip asking me to appear for interview additional documents. I went to consulate with additional documents on 3/3/2017. Visa officer collected the documents from me and asked few basic questions then i was asked to wait. After that they told me that they need to do additional admin processing and she gave me back the passport. I asked her how long it may take. She said, she cannot give the timeline, but it may take approximately 3 weeks.
3/21 -- Got email to submit the passport.
3/23 -- Case update date is changed to 3/23. But still Administrative processing.
3/24 -- Visa is issued.
Did anyone faced similar situation and how long it took to get the visa approved?
