Background -
Working as a direct hire for a tech firm in NYC.
Situation -
On 11/16/2017 - Dropped off my passport for 3rd H1 renewal at Bangalore dropbox office.
On 11/22/2017 - Was notified that passport was ready for pickup when I looked there was no Visa and a Blue slip was attached. Was requested to appear in person at Chennai for an interview. No documents requested.
On 11/24/2017 - Appeared for an interview at Chennai
VO told me she was not sure why the application was flagged as everything looked good. She went ahead and asked me few questions about Job location, profile etc..
Was told I would get the passport by 12/04/2017 at the latest and haven't seen any updates.
Hoping the status will change soon. Good luck everyone.
