Notes:
Went for my first H1B visa stamping post F1-OPT. I'm a post doc in the life sciences and the VO asked me questions about where I work, what I work on, salary and visa status timeline from PhD graduation up to H1B application. He asked to look at my CV and immediately returned it. Following this he told me my case requires admin processing. He didn't ask for additional docs and didnt retain (or even look at) any of my documents. Looks like most 221G cases have been asked for further documentation. I'm curious to see if other folks have encountered an experience similar to mine and if so what was their timeline to receiving their Visa? Summary Biometrics: 12th Dec Visa interview: 14th Dec; 221G administrative processing slip issued and passport retained. Visa issued and passport ready for pickup: 21st Dec
