Waiting for administrative processing (221 G - research).

The lady at the window told me 3-4 weeks. I completed 4 weeks today with no news whatsoever. Staying hopeful.
1st Case update: 01/25/18 at 3 p.m. IST , still AP
2nd Case update: 01/29/18 sometime after 3 p.m. IST, still AP
3rd Case update: 01/30/17, at 3 p.m IST, ISSUED (Woohoo!)
Status at passport tracker (http://www.ustraveldocs.com/in/in-niv-passporttrack.asp#options) changed from No Status to Passport has been received from the consular section, and is currently being processed for delivery, on 01/31/17 at noon IST.
I didn't wait for their e-mail, and reached at the passport collection center at 3 p.m. Their staff member told me that I can collect my passport between 3.30 and 4. So, I did. I am all set to go back home now.
