Background: Finished my Phd in Aerospace Engineering in 2015. Have been working at a physics simulation software company ever since (not doing any active research). Appeared for my first H1B interview on 11th Dec
Timeline:
11th Jan: VO asked several questions about my work, degree etc. Issued a green slip asking me to submit some documents (resume, past reserarch statements, employment verification letter, I-797, past 5 years travel details etc.). Passport returned.
CEAC status changed to Admin Processing
12th Jan: Submitted documents via email
5th Jan: Received email stating that the AP is now complete, asked to submit passport
5th Jan: Submitted passport
10th Jan: Case status updated (still AP)
17th Jan: Case status updated (still AP)
19th Jan: Case Status: Issued
