VO asked job title, asked what kind of research, then asked me to go to a different counter where I was given a white sheet asking for documents like resume, publications, content of research, etc. (I sent only those that were applicable to me, I sent them all in one email).
Email address that I had to send documents to : advanceprocessing at state.gov
I noticed that officer wrote my case number as XXXXXXX-XXX-1 whereas to check status on ceac (dot) state (dot) gov, one has to enter case number ending in 0001. Do not worry if you send email using either case number as subject.
Status showed as below until 05/28/2018 (no updates/nobody looked at my documents):

Last updated: April 20, 2018
On 05/29/2018 around 9:50am status changed to last updated on 05/29/2018 (still administrative processing).
On 05/30/2018 around 11:30am status changed to issued.
On 05/31/2018 ready for pickup.
