05/14/18 - Interview. Went well, the officer said that I will receive my VISA in a week or two after handing me 221g white slip. He kept my passport. DS-2019 was signed and returned.
05/16/18 - Sent the documents.
At this point - Case created 11 May, Case Last updated 14 May

Sent many mails to [email protected] for any status update. No help from them just standard responses.

Internship starts on 18th June.

Finally after a month of painful processing
Case last updated changed - 15th June around 8:30am IST
Case update - 15th June around 1pm to "Issued"
Track my passport - updated at around 4pm, 15th June to "Passport has been received from the consular section, and is currently being processed for delivery".

Passport received through premium delivery on 16th June.
Advice to fellow 221G candidates - Never lose hope. Keep bugging [email protected]. Explain them your urgency.
