I work as a PhD student in a biomedical research institute. Visa officer (VO) took ONLY my CV and she told me they will get back to me in 3 weeks. The VO also told me she doesn't see anything wrong with my application. What a lie! I am financially stable with a long term work contract (until 2022) but none of that mattered because I work in biomedical related area. Basically, I work on a computer without access to any specialised hardware or sensitive technology. I can't fathom how I can be a threat, especially on a visitor visa.
