1st time visa application for F 1 Interview date: 8th November 2018 Interview went really well and the VO said that he is granting a visa to me and took the passport. the very next day i receive an email stating that i was found ineligible under 221 g and was asked to fill a questionnaire of DS 5535 on 9th november. after 10 days i received a message stating that passport is ready at the embassy pl come and collect it. When i went to the collection counter, i got an empty passport when i asked them about the same they said its not their mistake and redirected me to customer care no of US Visa Hyderabad. I dont understand one thing they took my passport and gave it back without any stamp, now the visa status shows Administrative Processing.
Now i have two questions in"my mind
1. Is there any rule that embassy should not keep the passport for a longer time? Did anyone come across a similar Situation as mine?
2. How often do they update the status in Visa Tracker page??
