H1B second time renewal ; Chennai consulate dropbox ; Received the passport back with 221g blue form ; Masters from reputed university in Atlanta, GA ; Supply Chain field ; Direct full-time employee ; Approved I-140 ; No documents asked in the blue form which says that my application require additional administrative processing ;
12/12: Dropbox at Chennai VAC.
1/18: followed up with Chennai consulate at [email protected] (Thankfully didn't got a template reply)
1/22: Asked to attend Visa interview
1/24: Attended Interview at Chennai. Was normal questions (Company, Salary, OPT , Location). Passport collected and said it will be completed in 2-3 business days.
1/28: Case status date updated again, but was still in AP.
1/29: ISSUED Status.
Tips: Regularly follow-up, Try emailing ChennaiH&L section for a non-general reply after your case has been delayed for more than 30 days, Call NVC to know about any details for the Admin processing- When I called they said mine was a Consulate Hold
