Me: XYZ client, Richmond, VA
VO: How long you been with your employer?
Me: About 7+ odd years
Now he shifted questions to my wife
VO: Hi, is this your husband?
Wife: Yes with a big smile on her face. (VO was also appeared jovial)
VO: you sure?
Wife: Yes, officer. We are married for X years
Keeps on typing too fast while talking throughout the process
VO: So you were on F2 before!
Wife: Yes
VO: means you are on F1!
Me: Yes
VO: Were you ever out of status in the past?
Me: Never officer
VO: Ok, I’m going to give you this slip (handed white slip) and keep your passports. (I had a panicked face immediately) and VO continues saying “Nothing to worry, we need to do some administrative process and you should get an update within 3-5 business days.
Me: Office, do I need to submit anything?
VO: No, you will get instructions, you don’t have to do anything now.
