Notes:
VAC on 3rd March. Original interview date on 4th March. But was later asked to come on 5th March as I had DD only for 500$. I wanted to pay by credit cards for the 4500$. But since my credit limit was not that high, I wanted to use 2 credit cards which was refused by the embassy. Therefore got DD the same day and came back the next day for the interview. Visa interview went very well. Was surprised to get 221(g) again. Especially because I had applied for L1B 10 years back and I had to go through the same process (221g). Consular also commented that I need not have been so truthful in my visa application that the visa was denied last time as from his point of view 221(g) was not a denial. Have a feeling that it was because of my background/profession (Chemical Engineer) Query: Do we get an acknowledgement from the consulate once we send the requested data?
