20 Dec'18 - Biometric
21 Dec'18 - Interview. VO asked about profession, research, salary, whether did F1-OPT. No documents requested. Didn't approve --- issued DS-5535
And the wait begins ...
21 Dec'18 -- 20 Jun'19 - Zero update in CEAC website. Sent 30+ emails to ustraveldocs and consulate address. Same reply --- its in AP, can't expedite, and can't predict timeline. Requested two US senators and one congressman to nudge my application; they got same reply
21 Jun'19 - Received email from consulate to submit passport. CEAC date updated; status in AP
24 Jun'19 - CEAC date updated; status in AP
25 Jun'19 - CEAC date updated; status in AP
27 Jun'19 - CEAC status changed to issued in morning; received email to collect passport around noon; collected passport in afternoon
Total wait time: 6 months and 8 days!
