Hi, Had prior H1-B with my employer and then they applied for O1-A , so had to visit India to get visa stamped. On the day of the interbiew
VO: What criteria have you met for your O1-A
Me: Membership; Critical role in an Org; Original contribution ( in the mean time she was already reading and typing something)
VO: Can you explain your original contribution
Me. Spoke about my Original contribution and publication etc.
VO: ok, just a minute and steps away and brings the dreaded slip with her. Sir, we need additional evidence to approve you application,
July 15: Got an email to submit passport
July 16 : Case last updated field changed
July 22 : Case update changed to "Issued"
Advice: If you care too much, you will be paranoid, if you don't care, it will be easy to spend that time( Trust me I had a lot of riding on this visa, I have a house and car in that I had to keep paying EMI while in India, on 1 person salary for 4 month) Visa rejection would have meant almost $50K worth of loss
