On OPT, came to renew visa stamp which expired in May.
How it went:
Submitted via interview waiver on Sep 16th.
Got back passport with blue slip on Sep 24th, asking to come to interview
Sep 26th: Attended interview, VO asked about my job and undergrad research (chemical engineer). Got pink slip and told to email docs
Oct 10th: Sent requested resume, travel history, work details etc
Nov 22nd: First update, still administrative processing
Nov 25th: Issued, collected passport with stamped visa the next day at Bangalore visa pickup
It's a long process and feels really shitty if you have a job in the US that you need to be at. MAKE SURE YOU GET AN ACKNOWLEDGEMENT AFTER SUBMITTING YOUR DOCS. It's just safer that way. Don't write anything in the body of email while submitting docs via email. I submitted one PDF invitation letter, and compiled all the other info in one word doc with headings.
