16th Aug, 2019: Passport, copy of I797 dropped off for dropbox submission.
19th Aug, 2019: Received by the Mumbai consulate. Case created.
21st Aug, 2019: Returned by the Mumbai consulate. Status Administrative Processing. Case updated.
22nd Aug, 2019: Passport returned with Green slip. Asked to attend an interview and submit a police certificate. Status Administrative Processing. Case updated.
26th Aug, 2019: Attended interview. No documents submitted. Interview went well. Issued another green slip to submit police certificate.
6th Sept, 2019: Submitted passport and police certificate at the dropbox location.
9th Sept, 2019: Documents received. Status Administrative Processing. Case updated.
21st Oct 2019: Status Administrative Processing. Case updated.
22nd Oct 2019: Issued.
23rd Oct 2019: Passport picked up.
In between the process, sent a couple of emails, and got a standard reply. Also, called the customer center twice and was said it can take upto 6 months.
