I work for a big tech company as a FTE, got my Masters from a very reputed university in the US.
H1B renewal.
Dropbox submission - 15th November
Got an email that my passport was ready to pickup on 20th November.
On picking up the passport, I noticed that I got a blue slip asking me to attend the interview at the Chennai Consulate.
Interview - 20th November
Questions:
Do I work directly for the company listed on my I-797
What is my role at company ABC
How many years have I worked at company ABC
Where did I get my Masters from
Have I ever been out of status
Issued another blue slip. None of the options on the slip was checked. The Consular Officer told me that she has all the documents and they need to do additional processing on their end. She specifically told me that it should be completed in a week.
