Interviewer asked me the following questions:
1797A form
where I am working?
where did you studied?
whats your role?
is this your extension or first time h1 stamping? i said, first time stamping.
She said, she has an issue in the system which is not letting her approve my h1. she also told me that I qualified for h1b, so she was collecting my passport, and asked me to check status in the portal,should be updated in couple days. since there's no way to indicate that she has issue in the system, she was giving me 221(g) but she'll approve the case once the issue is fixed in the system.
It's been already a week and there's no further update. The portal is saying that, my case is under administration process which may take several weeks to months.
what the interviewer told me is completely different than what its showing in the portal.
No update on status as of 12/16/2019
UPDATE: my case is updated today as ISSUED (12/20/2019, after around 13 working days)
