Went to India for H1B stamping, here is my case history
Been in the USA for over 16 years, came in as F1 16 years ago, converted to H1B 14 years ago, worked as FTE for direct reputed companies, never worked through consulting firms always FTE
Currently working as Director of SE. Have multiple approved 140's from previous companies, GC date not current yet.
Went to Mumbai consulate with wife on H4 for Visa interview. VO asked standard questions and said Visa approved, VO collected passport.
Then came the shock!
Email received the same night of visa interview stating
Your application for Nonimmigrant visa refused under Sec 221(g)
Biometric Date : 5th Jan 2020
Visa Interview : 6th Jan 2020
Email received to fill DS5535: 6th Jan 2020 (221g Case refused email)
DS5535 Submitted : 8th Jan 2020
Email received to request to submit passport : 14th Jan 2020
Passport Submitted : 17th Jan 2020
Passport Received : 24th Jan 2020
Traveled back to USA : 26th Jan 202
