Me and my wife gave interview for J1 and J2 visas respectively on December 30th, 2020 at new Delhi Embassy. At the interview, we were given 221(g) slip and the visa officer told us that it would take 6-8 weeks for final visa processing. Next day, I submitted all the necessary information by email which I was asked to submit during the interview. After that, whenever I checked the status of our visa, it was showing as refused, as shown in the picture. It was also showing the case last updated for both of us as : 30 Dec, 2020. On completion of six weeks on 11 February, 2021, both our cases were updated to Administrative Processing, as shown in the second picture. But on 12 February my status was changed to the same old status "refused", while my wife's status is still Administrative Processing. My DS-2019 form was also expired on 13 th February, 2021. I have asked my university to re-issue me the DS-2019 form with new start date of the program.
