H1B extension, eligible for Dropbox, had an OWVI in Jan 2016
3/22/2021: documents submitted at Hyderabad VAC Dropbox (passport, photos, copies of current and former 797, employment verification document)
3/23/2021: CEAC status - Refused
3/24/2021: Asked to appear for interview on April 12 (passport still with consulate)
4/12/2021: Appeared for interview, usual questions on title, firm, location, salary. Then asked to provide court documents from the OWVI case, luckily I was carrying them. The officer said ‘your visa is issued’
4/12/2021: CEAC status changed to Admin Processing with note if visa was approved it will be available in 2 business days.
4/15/2021: CEAC still admin processing. When I emailed CEAC, they said your visa is refused for admin processing.
I’m not sure what is going on since the consulate officer said it was issued.
Update:
4/19/2021: the CEAC website tracking shows ‘Issued’!! One step closer, no news yet on when I can pick up passport.
