Notes:
Parents had IR5 visa interview on Mar 2, 2022 in Mumbai. VC congratulated them and gave them approval documentation and passports were kept. Passports were returned on Mar 4 with letter stating 221g admin processing and no documents asked for. Letter mentioned they will email us if anything is needed. As of 03/30, CEAC still shows REFUSED. Last updated 03/03 (a day after the interview).
Anyone with similar situation around similar dates out of Mumbai?
Received call from Consulate last week that the admin processing has been cleared but the “medical” has expired so need to redo medical for the passport to be stamped. Awaiting re-medical. Finally a glimmer of hope after more than 6 months.
