New h1b application. Sent in the dropbox application mid-June (Canadian permanent resident). The Ottawa consulate asked for an in-person interview.
07/18/2022: Interview at the Quebec city consulate. The passport was collected and was told that I should expect it back within 5-10 working days.
07/19/2022: Got a DS-5535 form to fill out. Filled out and sent it the same day.
07/20/2022: Status update on CEAC to refused (admin processing)
07/27/2022: Received an email from the consulate saying that according to section 221g my application is in administrative processing and that it could take up to 60 days.
09/20/2022: Status updated on CEAC to approved
