VO took original I797, Resume. He cancelled my prior H1B visa, and handed passport back. Asked me how I pronounced my name and what I did. I replied "Mechanical Engineer" working full-time for employer. He handed me yellow 221g no document requested.
It has been 40 days now. Still waiting in Toronto. Luckily my wife is a Canadian citizen, so we are staying with her parents. Otherwise, situation would have been a complete nightmare.
Issued clearance and visa on Aug 29, 2013.
