Visa interview was very simple. VO asked only 3-4 questions and asked me to wait. After about an hour or so, an Indian lady called me and asked me all sorts of questions related to my stay in the US for the past 5 years. She then made a copy of all the documents and kept original I-797A with them and returned the passport. The VO then called me again and gave me a 221(g) Blue Slip and checked the box which said no documents needed but will need to do processing. I was given a case number and told that I need to wait.
On Oct 9 2013, when I called the Chennai consulate, they mentioned that they sent some documents to me and that I need to collect it and follow it accordingly. As of Oct 17 2013, I am still waiting for the docs which got delayed due to the holidays.
