Currently, a postdoc and on F1 OPT. Obtained PhD diploma from the same US institution. (PhD Chemistry and Postdoc in Biology) Second visa interview while on OPT. Prev Exp: First time 221g in April, 2013: Approved visa in May 2013 (Total time taken 36 days) VO was cool and mentioned that it MIGHT not take that long this time around, when I enquired about the duration of this repeat process 1st Status Date Update: April 20, 9:45 AM:AP Received an email asking for Passport. April 20,3:40 PM:AP Submitted Passport: April 22:AP Status Date Change April 23:AP Issued April 24 For the guys who visit homeland out of compulsion/recreation: 1) Talk to your employer about possibility of getting STUCK for 6 weeks (if you get it earlier count it as bonus) 2) Make prior arrangements for Rent, Credit Card payments. if needed suspend phone lines, cable, vonage, car insurance. 3) Make sure to bring home some work to satisfy your boss. 4) Finally, Keep Calm and Wait on. It was tough 2 months!
