Applied for a tourist B2 visa after planning a family trip to the US this summer. Have been in the US previously from 2001-2007 and have completed by PhD. from Univ. of Michigan and a post-doc at UCSD. Interview was in Mumbai on 18th May and VO only asked about my current company and job profile and nothing else, spent a long time entering information into his terminal and handed me the green slip. I was also applying for my minor son, and VO approved his Visa after noting that my wife holds a valid visa. So wife and kiddo are all set, and I am still waiting for a update of status. Our flight is booked for June 17, so this could be very tight! keeping fingers crossed
