Transfer case (Chennai to Delhi due to floods). Embassy couldn't locate my records and was asked to come next day. Went again, still no luck. Asked me to fill new DS160. Did in 40 minutes and took photo/fingerprints at embassy itself (thanks to courteous staff). Then went for interview. VO asked my company name and designation. Then asked me if I've any court cases (I've a 498a going on) and then put my case for AP.
Timeline:
Dec 15 - Interview; Passport collected by VO; Case on Administrative Processing
Dec 29 - Not able to track passport anymore; CEAC still shows AP
Jan 13 - Received phone call from Delhi embassy asking few specific details
Jan 15 - Passport status "Passport has been received from the consular section, and is currently being processed for delivery". CEAC still says AP
Jan 19 - Passport ready for pickup; will pickup on Friday, no hurry as CEAC still shows AP :(
Jan 22 - Passport collected and surprisingly VISA is already STAMPED on the passport with issue date Jan 14
