My wife and me attended the interview along with our 11 week old daughter. I was renewing an H1 visa and my wife was getting a new H4 visa. We were asked about our education and current employment.
I was specifically asked why I was working in technology when I studied aerospace engineering. I responded that my specialization was programming related which is why it was a natural fit for me. We were then asked for our resumes and employment histories.
Since we did not have it on us, we had to email it to the embassy. We sent the emails the same day and recieved confirmations that they have been recieved.
