Officer asked questions on education, thesis and work related questions and handed 221g yellow slip requesting my resume. I have been in their p US with the same employer in 2009 and have I140 approved. I have had multiple H1Bs stamped in India but Toronto consulate gave me 221g. Resume and a letter from the company already sent to the officer the same day and response came back stating they will call me once their review is complete. I hope they resolve soon. Any experiences on the time delays?
Got an email to submit the passport on 4/29 morning and I had mail the passport to the consulate. No in-person services offered by Toronto Consulate. 5/5 status update date changed and 5/6 visa issued. I was offered to pick up the passport at the consulate.
I have used all my connections in the DoS but no luck. We just need to wait or plan for vacation while they sort out the TAL check. The reason of my 221G was my telecom degree and my employer ITAR regulation.
