I'm on vacation in India after staying for 2 years in US on H1 (my petition recently renewed), so had to go for re-stamping.
Mar-17-2016: Interview, VO asked couple of questions, kept all my documents (passport, i797, LCA etc) & gave me 221(g) for submitting more documents.
Status date: Mar-17-2016, Online status was Admin Processing
March-21-2016: Submitted documents through email
May-9-2016: I sent an email to consulate requesting status & got a reply from consulate: "Kentucky Consular Center (KCC) had tried contacting my client to gather some information & was waiting for their response."
I informed my employer to request client for responding to KCC, but client said that they did not receive any communication from KCC.
May-25-2016: Client sent an email to consulate mentioning my assignment with them.
May-27-2016: Status date updated for first time
May-28,29,30 (long weekend)
May-31-2016: Status updated to Issued
May-31-2016: SMS for passport ready to collect.
Picked up passport.
