VIsa stamping in Tijuana
I got my Visa stamped on May 30th. It was a smooth process. Except it was slow at crossing the border back into the US. I took a Mexican visa. It is not too difficult to get. But no one asked for it.

Tijuana is an interesting place. The type of buildings and the way people drive reminded me a lot about India.

I had a bilingual agent help me out from SAN DIEGO LEISURE, INC. I will leave the email address for people to refer
[email protected]

They take you to Mexico and back, take you to lunch and help you get with the payment for visa processing at Banamex. They even send you a recommended list of documents to take with you.

H1 Visa stamping in Tijuana - do we need Mexican visa
Do we need to apply for Mexican visa if we need to go to the US Embassy for getting a H1 Visa stamp? Also, how long is the wait for getting appointments at the Tijuana consulate nowadays?

Thanks,
Padma.

H1B visa stamping
Hi everyone,

I am still confused with regards to the turn around time with visa stamping. Where can I get my visa stamped where it's pretty much guaranteed that I can get it the next day? Is there always a wait at all the Canadian locations? Please any advice you can give me would be great.

Tijuana Stamping
Just wanted to let everyone know that I got my H1 B stamped yesterday at Tijuana. Fairly straightforward process. Not a lot of questions asked. Keep all the documents and also MAKE SURE YOUR PIMS HAS BEEN RECEIVED BY THEM.

http://tijuana.usconsulate.gov/petition_based_visas.html

Carry all the documents that you have. Carl's steps in this forum are very useful and a very good step by step process. It helped me and hopefully you too can benefit.

Good luck ya all!

Visa appointment in Tijuana
Hi,

I have taken visa appointment at tijuana for me & my wife. We both are H1B holders. I live in CA and my wife works in NJ. But I took one appointment for both. After taking appointment, I got a confirmation mail for payment and in that mail they mentioned all added applicants must live in same residence. Is it ok to have same appointment in this case. Is there anybody who attended like this? Pls advise.

Visa Stamping Tijuana
I recently got my visa stamped successfully at Tijuana.

Had my appnt on 10th april. I did not know that PIMS was not fully implemented at Tijuana but took a chance. The visa officer denied the visa and asked me to wait for 4-5 days till the information gets updated in the system. When I requested for a letter to present to Border security, she denied. I could somehow manage and get back into US with the I-94 on my new H1 approval.

They callled me in 3-4 days and confirmed my information is in PIMS. I went there again. It was a smooth ride this time. Just dropped my passport at the counter outside and was asked to collect the passport in 3 hours.

Moral of the story: Please make sure your informaion is available in PIMS before travelling.

H1 visa processing time at Tijuana Mexico
Hi,

I transferred my H1 to a new employer.

I want to go to Tijuana, Mexico for restamping.

When I am checking in Us website, I am seeing the Non-immigrant visa processing time as 25 days.

http://travel.state.gov/visa/temp/wait/tempvisitors_wait_result.php?post=Tijuana&x=57&y=24

Did you guys have to wait for 25 days for stamping after submitting the passport in the Tijuana consulate?

Thanks,
Anurag
