Pls take some action regarding this situation
Hi,
I want USCIS needs to take some action for this kind of situations.

For people who are working on EAD, if they applied for Renewal of their EAD even before 90 days , still not receiving their EAD due to some reasons and failing to show the new EAD to their Employers which causes to loose their job, which is so worst situation.(this is my present situation)
Of course there is some way as one can get an Intrim EAD after 90 days but if due to postal delay or some other reason if they won't receive their renewed EAD is very tensed situation from applyer point of view.
I want to give advice in this situation,
The rule needs to be changed as, one can continue their work ,if he can able to show his Receipt of
Renewal EAD to the employer, this will solve the problem above and many people can get relief for waiting for new EAD and loosing their existing jobs etc.

I hope from this change many can get benfit.

Thanks
Sree

Ead approved but returned by the post office
My spouse and I had applied for EAD. My spouse's
Our EADs got approved at the same time. We haven't changed the address or moved. My spouse got EAD card in a week while mine was returned to the USCIS by the Postal Department(USCIS Version)
To my belief and knowledge USCIS mailing system messed it up and blaming it on the postal department. Because I had checked with my area post office supervisor and the mail men they have n't received any uscis mail on my name.

So as soon as I saw the status change on uscis web site saying that it has retuned by the postal department i have called them up and requested to resend it. Fortunately..finally I have received my card last week.

Good luck to all who are facing similar issues

I applied in March and then was asked additional information in May and my processing time restarted it seems. I went to make a interim EAD but they refused as they said that the initial time is not counted.

I am already working and I need to have EAD. Any advice ?

I HAVE L2 VISA, AND APPLIED FOR WORK PERMIT ON MAY 19TH, 2005. I RECEIVED THE NOTIFICATION OF RECEIPT ON JUNE 13TH ON 2005. I KNOW MY APPLICATION IS ON NATIONAL SERVICE CENTER AND FOR WHAT I SEE ON THE TABLES THEY ARE STILL REVIEWING APPLICATIONS FROM AUGUST 2004. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW HOW LONG IT MIGHT TAKE MY APPLICATION TO BE PROCESSED AND WHEN AM I GOING TO RECEIVED MY EAD, THIS IS MY FIRST TIME. ON THE OTHER IN MY APPLICATION IT SAYS THAT I NEED TO DO BIOMETRICS AND THEY GAVE ME THE APPOINTMENT FOR JUNE 25 ,2005, SINCE WHEN DO YOU HAVE TO GO FOR AN APPOINTMENT, SHOULDNT THEY JUST SEND IT BY MAIL?? THANKS

EAD Renewal
Hi,
I have applied for my EAD in March 7th, But my EAD is expiring in March 20th. For some reason my paperworks got delayed and USCIS filed the case only in March 7th. At this point of time I do not have EAD to work after 20th. My question is, Is there anyway I can goto the Local USCIS office and request for Interim EAD.. ? What are all the documents I should carry ?.. will they give ..? If anybody had this experience... Please share with me.
Thanx
Vijay.

EADs LOST / RETURNED
It is surprising to see so many messages on the internet about lost/returned EAD cards. I beleive something is wrong with the dept at INS (USCIS) that handles the mailing.

My and my wifes EADs were approved last month. Less than 2 weeks after the approval, our EAD status was updated to: "the card or the document we had mailed to the applicant was returned by the post office because they could not deliver it".

This doesnt make any sense because:

1. We have been living at the same address for a long time. There was no change of address.

2. We were home and have been checking our mail everyday since our approval.

3. When I called th USCIS, they had my correct address in thier files. We had also received some other documents from USCIS in the last few days, with the correct address on them.

I hope more people that faced similar problems will come forward and post thier messages here. It will definitely help other immigrants / applications by making them aware of this problem.
