Waiting for decision
I just did my interview yesterday (Monday, June 10th, 2019) at 11:15 AM AOS from F-1 to EB-3 for a janitor job. Receipt number starts with SRC, and interview office is in New Orleans. The IO looked intimidating to me. Me and my attorney went in. Swore from the beginning, gave medical forms, EAD, and ID. He was asking all the verification questions at first then moved on to yes/no questions. He asked about the school I went to and how many jobs did I have. I have only worked on campus. I forgot to mention one of the jobs during the summer but he asked about that and I confirmed it that I did work there (my attorney told me it was not a big deal). He asked about my major, told him I was in Electrical Engineering. He asked again about the jobs and wanted to see my I-20s. He also was asking for other EADs for my campus jobs. I was confused about it so my attorney stepped in and explain I did not need EAD for campus job (seemed like he didn't know about that).

And he asked about my future employment ( I'm intending to work there at the end of this August), where it was, what I was gonna do there, how would I get there. I accidentally told him the wrong state ( South Carolina instead of North Carolina), my attorney immediately corrected me and handed out the supplement J. I told him I was going to drive 15 hours there and he was kinda surprised of that (I didn't really know why). Then he asked how I'm going to stay there and I told him I was finding a house on my own, pay the deposit and moved in. Then he was asking which specific place I was going to work at. I told him either A place or B place (because I did not remember which one I signed up for), but I'm sure that I'm going to either one of them, I just didn't remember which one. He also asked what I what was my plan after done working there, told him I'd work there until my financial is stable then I'd go back to school and finished the degree.

After that, he went through yes/no questions again and asked me if there was any more document I would like to give him. Gave him the job offer letter and 2 more letters from my employer and my agent explaining how they work together for the EB-3 hiring process. Then he said he'd look through it and give me the answer later. Didn't take my passport nor gave out any kind of paper.

My attorney said that this was normal and I didn't answer anything wrong during the interview. She thought that the IO must be new to the process (since he didn't know that working on campus doesn't need EADs) and may take more time to decide on the case. She also stated that the IO looked uncomfortable because I was going to school for engineering but now I'm applying for a janitor job which was normal since he was new to the process. She told me not to worry much about the interview because I thought he gonna fail me since he looked super intimidated to me. She said that they might be giving out the RFE but that's unlikely the case.

Later in the afternoon, my case online changed from "Interview Was Scheduled" to "Interview Was Completed And My Case Must Be Reviewed". I know that everything I've submitted to them is legitimate and I haven't violated anything during my stay but I am still worried that I was gonna fail or something.

What's your opinion on this? Thanks.

advice needed pls
Hello everyone, I have been reading this blog for a few months now and I feel I can ask some questions that's really bothering me. my Spouse is USC but on parole at the moment he has been good since he got out and has a job and all, but the issue is this, we are about to file the I-130 but I would like to know
1)if the fact that hes on parole can have any negative effect on my filing
and secondly we cannot get a lease agreement because of his status so i would like to know if other documents will suffice. thank you all.

I have not received EAD or Advance Parole and our interview was scheduled in Tucson but we live in Phoenix (we didn’t move), Does anyone know why it would be scheduled out of town? We don’t mind the drive but I want to know if we should prepare for something out of the ordinary?

Thanks
