AOS, EAD Card and Interview
Hello everyone,

I am currently in Tucson, Arizona. I filed for my AOS through marriage to a US citizen in July 2018. I remember doing my biometrics the first week of August 2018. However, I have not received my EAD card in the mail. In fact, I have been scheduled for an interview on December 17th, 2018. So, in a week from today, I have my interview.
Has anyone experienced this? Meaning, attending their interview, but not receiving their EAD card beforehand? Is there something that I should be worried about?

Thanks in advance for your help! :)

I-485 Marriage based interview went well...now what??
Hello. I had my marriage based AOS interview in SF on Dec 4th 2018. Went very well. The officer said "You should hear some good news within a week or so". He gave us a paper saying that he has everything needed and they will now review.

The night AFTER the interview the status changed online to "your case is ready to be scheduled for an interview". (?!) This is strange since the interview was already done.

Anyway, how long will it take now for me to hear something? Is there any way to find out??
I'm tired of this game :(

Dallas filer - received work permit without advance parole
Wondering if any has applied for a combo card, but received only the work permit card instead... this is a question from my friend who applied for a fresh EAD in July 2018, and she received work permit card in mid Oct. The USCIS told her later on that she would have to wait for AP to come separately due to heavy workload at the immigration office this time of the year.

Has anyone experienced similar situation?

Any Dallas July 2018 filer who has received their combo card already? Mind sharing your timeline?

Thank you.

EAD expedite -C09
Hi Friends,

I want to do expedite my EAD due to financial hardships.

I called USCIS today and they have created Service request. In the mean time.. do we need to anything parallel?

reasons, Medical bills and living expenses are more than what we earn. I am getting job interviews but because of no EAD, i am not in a position to get offer.

Anyone, please suggest. what else we can do now. Can we contact Ombudsman or congressman parallel or we should wait till we get the update from service request.

Please help.

Thanks

Approved Green Card - Sacramento Field Office
Hi Everyone,

I thought, I will share my green approval process here which might help someone.

Application Type: Marriage Based AOS Application
Application Filed: Dec 7th, 2017
Field Office: Sacramento Field Office
Applications: I-130, I-485
Biometric Completed: Jan 5, 2018
AOS Interview Scheduled: Sep 11, 2018
Interview Notice Received: Sep 18, 2018
Interview Date, Time: Oct 16th, 2018 at 7:15 AM

Interview Question: Parents Name, DOB, Work Location, First Date and few extra questions
Interview Outcome: Officer said your case is approved but I still have to review it.

Expedite Request Submitted over the phone: Nov 5, 2018,
Expedite Reason: Family Wedding in my home country
Expedite Request Completed: Nov 7th, 2018. Even though I didn't have to submit anything for expedite request. It looks like submitting request triggered my case checks. (Assumption but mostly accurate)
USCIS Call: USCIS called me on Nov 8th, 2018 at 3 PM that both of my cases got approved (I-130 and I-485) and suggested to make an infopass for I-551 stamp if I wish to travel early.
USCIS office Visit: Event though Sacramento office doesn't accept infopass online but they accept infopass over the phone. Just call USCIS and ask them to connect to your field office which is Sacramento. Nov 9th, 2018 they stamped my passport which is valid until Feb 9th, 2019.
Status Update 1: Nov 8th, 2018 USCIS case update with Status that Case is completed and must be reviewed (I-485). I-130 was approved though as per online status
Status Update 2: Nov 9th 2018. I-1485 status said card is in production and later it got changed to case is approved.
Status Update 3: Nov 14th, 2018. Status got updated with card is mailed to me with tracking number
Status Update 4 (Final): Nov 17th, 2018. Card is delivered

Hopefully this will help someone.
