Hi Guys. Our package (I-485, I-130, I-131 and I-765) delivered on Dec 29th. We got all the materials back and the rejection notice saying "inaccurate amount" today. We wrote two checks, one $535 for I-130 and one $1225 for I-485 ($1140 + $85 biometric service), no fee for I-131 and I-765. Could some one advice us is there anything wrong with the fee we wrote on the check.
To give more details, the $535 coming from my husband (U.S citizen) bank account and the $1225 one from my bank account. Both of the check has date of 12/23/2016.

Hello, I'm sorry to hear that, but don't worry is nothing serious, Looks like the amounts are correct and the checks as well did your write USCIS or U.S. Department of Homeland Security ? if you could share a picture of your rejection letters Covering sensitive information, just to see what is the error... Thank you very much for your reply and help. I think I may found the problem. It is a really stupid mistake. I wrote to "U.S. Department of Homeland", I forgot the "SECURITY"!!!!!!! How stupid!

I attached the receipts and our checks here. Could you help us to take a look to see if there any other thing suspicious? We will call their customer service to make sure...

December filer

I file aos on 12-03-2016-- they received 12-06-2016 now 12-17. Noa1 hardcopy in the mail 12-23-2016. Biometrics letter in the mail 12-30-2016.. Biometrics interview 01-10-2017..waiting for approval notice

I wanted to let you guys know that I got rejected because of an overpayment (only 5$, I paid 425$ instead of 420$, because my local USCIS officer said that I should pay this amount). So, future applicants may be more careful about that. It's really frustrating since my application and rejection letter got lost in the mail with money orders and other important papers😞

Hi! I'm sorry to hear that. You still have time! I first forgot to put checks in my packet. After two weeks I got my packet back then again, I put wrong amount of money on my check. So after I got my packet back the second time, I went back to the bank and did everything all over again.

I started sending my case around the first week of October but with all mistakes I made it all delayed.

Here is my timeline. (Chicago)
Not included all the mistake.

I sent my packet in around Nov 7, 2016.
I got a receipt from USCIA via text on Nov 23 by mail around Nov 25.
Notice of biometric appointment around Dec 1.
Done biometric test on Dec 14 at 9am.

Haven't heard back from them since. 😌

I am waiting any signal from USCIS, my package was delivered December 30 and until now nothing.
I am waiting for my package back, because I send with the old fee.

Hi, yeah, we called the customer services and they told me the numbers on my check are accurate. But we have other problems on both of the checks. I forgot the word "Security" on my check (the $1225 one). And on the other check, my husband wrote "&" instead of "and". He used "^" to represent "hundred". The lady from customer services suggested us to spell every word like "Five hundred and thirty five dollars".

We re write the checks and going to send them out soon. Good luck to you!

Hi LolaL. I finally got my package back with the fees issue. Exactly 30 days after delivery.

Question. Do I need reprint all the forms again and sent with the news fees, ou send the same forms, because they printed numbers in the bottom and Scratched with black pen on top off the number.

Yes...you will need to reprint all the forms again, fill, sign and put current date you completed the filling of the forms. It is normal for them to print and remark on the returned forms....From my experience, case file numbers are attached to every case or form received, if you send back the returned forms, there may be conflicts with the old and new assigned number. So I will advise you fill out a new form and send to them......My form i-765 got rejected and it was mailed to me with all the supporting document....I filled a new form and sent to them with the supporting document and I found the reassigned a new case number as reflected on my NoA receipt sent.
