So actually my approval date on the the notice is 11/21 so just one or two days after my first SR
I guess took em a while to send out the mail lol

No I will spend christmas and new years with the in laws here and will go back after this process is finished.
But we will go to mexico for a few days soon so I will definitely try it out.

are u from germany..am from france but i holiday in germany alot...once i v my ead..am flying to france a month later mit visit my godfather in stuttgart germany..with or without GC interview..i v missed my home

yes SR says not assigned but who knows i dont trust this status check now . now will check and try to get tracking number for my card.
my case was approved in like 80 days
I also think the backlog is disappearing quickly a lot of people getting approved in after 75 and under 90 so for the people after me (09/05) it should happen soon

the online thing is frustrating and could break u down..i remba i had an issue with a typographical error on my date of birth..i did an SR on sept 19,online said i will be assigned by oct 17..nothing was done..not until i called uscis concerning it..luckily a friendly io attended to me and told me..that..its a two way thing either nobody cares to attend to it or its attended to and not updated on my profile..advice that to fulfil all righteousness..i should immediate write a letter with proof of my birth date..like passport,drivers licence,couple with my birth cert.. and make it an express mail to missouri and i shld make sure its signed for..that if paradventure my EAD Card comes out wit error...d letter will put d person who signed for it in trouble..and i shld make sure i keep my tracking receipt...it was dia i realised dat uscis i v some lazy staffs who jus dont bother about wat comes or wat to put on each and everybodies online profile...thats y i contacted congressman bfor my 75th day..cos i realised that once a congressman contact dem..dey sit tight on ur case.so d backlog is jus laziness by so staffs,wen d mail was signed for i put a call tru after a week..a nasty io attended,she said uscis is not dumb..dey know my real date of birth..den i asked her if dey know why does it appear on notice of action..she said uscis will not reply my letter and might not be willing to update my SR...But if i v sent in letter den its okay....she was so nasty dat....i ended d call,cos the first guy had already given me d clue on how some staffs perform their duty...so please dont bother ursefs on ur uscis online profile...

Finally guys my EAD / AP approved I just got the mail today not status change at all it still says case received. OMG so happy guys life is going to be so much better now

Updated timeline.
09/01/2017 - submitted application package
09/05/2017 - package received (PD)
09/11/2017 - case accepted ,received 4 text messages and 4 emails
09/15/2017 - received hard copy NOA's
09/22/2017 - received biometrics appointment letter
09/25/2017 - biometrics completed
11/21/2017 - EAD/AP approval date - case status for both still at "case received"
11/27/2017 - received approval letters for both (took a week probably because of thanksgiving)

Yes its only like two hours to rocky point, mexico from where I live with car so we will go for a weekend.
Interview is always one month after when you receive the notice / letter. I will only go for 2-3 days

Are u planning on going back to Germany for Xmass? Im kinda bumped now, seeing i got the card plenty before Xmass, that i didnt apply for Advance parole, but there were a lot of factors why i didnt apply ... but I guess, itd be nice to have it just in case...

Check all envelopes... i bet you have the card there too... i first saw the approval letter, was so excited and after few mins i noticed in my pile another PRIORITY MAIL envelope from USCIS and that was the card... i think they send it together

See.. i bet you didnt even need to do the SR ... i didnt do anything and got it fast.. now, im anxious, because i know, the interview will come soon...i feel, like everything is going kinda quick and according to the norm timelines...

Congrats! This gives me a bit of faith that we will receive the EAD/AP soon! PD was 09/05 and sent in a SR online on 11/20 at day 76. Maybe it's coming soon!
