    call level 2

I did call level 2 officer today explaining the scenarios of my inability to track my cases on the uscis website, he spoke nicely and told me update as it appears on dhs site. I asked him why I have not gotten atleast my EAD and he placed me on hold to confirm from whoever I don't know . he told me the case is still within the normal processing time so I should still hold on.
Indeed am getting tired and frustrated

    @UScitizenfillingforspouse ,

Right?! Should totally start a petition ! I mean don't get me wrong, giving out the EAD first is great, atleast petitioners have something to do while waiting for the interview, but i mean c'mon, like with all that effort into processing the EAD, allocate all that effort into the i-485 and speed up the process ! Like i'd rather wait for months and go straight to the interview, instead of waiting for months only to get the EAD and then wait a couple more months for the interview. Like what is the hold up?! Geez.

You should ! I mean Someone has to do it.

LOL it would've thrown me off too, I'd probably flip out. But oh well. I guess it honestly depends on your luck.

No, I haven't. Should I call them right away and just ask about my application's status, or should I wait a little longer? I mean I don't want them to be like "Listen missy, you're only on day 84, wait the f **** out" LOL

Yeah, I signed up for both dhs.gov and the egov (no updates, still says the same thing since my PD) and I've the case tracker app on my phone (again, no update). I tried the automated line yesterday and it said the same thing as the case tracker app.
So I guess I have zero luck on this.

Really? Ugh I wish I got the 'validation error' update to be honest. It's like a sign of progress, it's better than my current stand still.

Yay for you ! You've progress ! Did you get any mail regarding the interview? When's your PD?

Yes, I front-loaded everything when we applied, I even gave an album of pictures just for the heck of it. I mean I don't see why not in giving every single piece of evidence I had. I just didn't wanna wait till the interview to show pictures and stuff. Oh, and I front loaded just to avoid the RFE. I did the application all by myself too, without the help of a lawyer.

Yep, first marriage for the both of us.

    Thanks, you too !

Oh my bad, I figured I've already written my timeline in the previous post, didn't want to repeat myself.

Anyway, Thanks for the info ! I tried raising an SR for my i-485 but it didn't go through and it said there that my application is within processing times and that I could not raise a service request for this application anytime soon (something along the lines of that).
    So what now?

ugh, I wish I can figure out what my status is. I've been seeing a lot of people (February applicants especially) getting their interview dates/letters lately, I just wish I'm one of those lucky ones.
At this rate, I want to jump straight to getting the interview letter instead of the EAD, my husband and I really just wanna get it over with. We're honestly tired of this waiting game. Lol

    Day 84.
Of course, you get to rant! We all do!
I totally get it. I am in favor of the "no EAD/AP - straight to GC interviews" movement. Well, there's no movement but I figure that if I say it often enough, others might think about it and agree with the concept of eliminating the EAD for marriage based AOS and reallocating that human power onto pre-adjudicating the application files for those Field Offices.
I almost want to start sending letters to Senators.

Look at the data for my field office.

What are they even doing at that office? I am usually all zen. There are all these receipts around me getting interviews, and the unspeakable happened - one got "New card is being produced" and "I-130 approved". I get it. It's probably a petition for a parent. My mother had her interview waived. Got her 10 year green card in the mail. It threw me off for a moment, though.

Have you tried calling and talking to a Level 2 officer? They can see more. If you've followed other timelines. User Kaylip wasn't able to access the I-485 online or on the automated phone line. Then called USCIS and was told by two Level 2 Officers an interview had already been scheduled and that the notice had been mailed out.

I also learned this weekend that the automated line may tell you a different status for your I-485. Mine says "Status for this receipt number cannot be found at this time in this automated system. Please check your receipt number to see if it is correct"

On the case tracker app, my I-485 does not have a validation error. It does show "Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview". I also checked other receipts on the automated line, that do show "validation error" and got the same "Status for this receipt number cannot be found at this time in this automated system. Please check your receipt number to see if it is correct".

I would suggest checking the automated line - just to see if you get anything different. Are you signed up on egov and dhs.gov?

Question, did you front-load your evidence? First marriage for both parties?

    All the best.

I raised an SR online for my 1-765 on day (76). Now I'm on day (83) and I still haven't received anything yet. Nothing in the mail. I don't know what else to do. This waiting game is really getting frustrating.
    Lynn77,

I understand your frustration. You've come to the right place for answers, support or to just let it out real lout. It helps us a lot if you include a timeline of your AOS right below your signature, along with your field office. The field office piece is just helpful in making a more informed assessment of the pace of your case.

Here's the historical data for your field office - Buffalo, NY

    Received Approved Denied Pending
    10/01/17 - 12/31/17 288 233* 27* 732
    07/01/17 - 09/30/17 292 326 35 715
    04/01/17 - 06/30/17 327 282 34 700

It looks like your field office processed about 100 applications less than the previous quarter. There was Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years. Do you know how much Federal Employees get? A LOT - is the answer to that. I would expect the pace for this quarter picked up already. Since you already raised an SR for your EAD, I would raise one on your I-485. Push for that interview.

I would call and see. I don't think it hurts to try. I've seen others getting EADs with the PD in February so i'm not 100% sure that the job offer helped.

I am ok if USCIS wants time to process my Adjustment of Status but at least provide the EAD. I am currently working on F-1 OPT and it will expire on July 10. I hope I get the EAD card before that.
I am also on F1 OPT and mines expire on July 11th. So worried now, have you raised Amy additional requests. I asked my employer and they said the best is to wait.

They will have to issue a response to your request and we will know Yes vs No, and along with that, whether your biometrics has been reviewed. Your EAD/AP won't be issued without it. So I think you're good. Just get through the weekend.
Neither dhs.gov nor egov.uscis.gov. says anything about receiving biometrics. Only dhs.gov mentions that they received the FEE. egov.uscis.gov. says absolutely nothing.

Got it. Several people have reported getting that validation error. Some have called USCIS and have been told that their file had been moved to the queue to be scheduled for an interview. So it's not like "Case ready to be scheduled for interview". This is actually in the queue - playing musical chairs, looking for a slot for you.

The next outage is tomorrow. I've pasted a post from someone who experienced the validation error, and also the email alert about tomorrow's system outage.

Then, the site gets updated, if you regain access to your case, your interview date is revealed. Similarly, those who are up next, will lose access to their cases during and after the outage, and will remain at that stage until the next outage/update wave.

Do you have the case tracker app? You should be able to look up +/- 500 receipts around you and see if others also have that validation error.
