My Visa application was pull out from he system and he read all in it out and the portion which state I was married. He asked why I have to divorce 4 months after I renew my visa through drop box?
He asked about the number of children I have with my ex?
He also asked about why I left my business to stay with my wife in the state.

interview was smooth except for some refrences he made to my former marriage and my business in home country.
most of the questions was directed to my wife a USC. SHE IS MORE EXCELLENT THAN I DO

Congrats. Sorry did not see your message, you must receive your combo card which is just like EAD card and you can travel with that, no need for an update on parole. or you might already received it by now. Cheers.

I have another question. I only received this update for i-765 and not for i-131. I expected to receive a combo card by filing EAD and Advance Parole. Can I expect the combo card or is something going wrong here? It is important for me because my new job will be for a company headquartered abroad and I would have to go for training there first.

How did they interview go? Some do not get the approval on the spot but wait for hours or days later for their status to update to case approved. You have morning to worry if the interview went well.

I had my interview today in Charleston sc but no decision. It was less than 15 minutes as he only requested for our joint documents.
just worried because I have no update yet

How did they interview go? Some do not get the approval on the spot but wait for hours or days later for their status to update to case approved. You have morning to worry if the interview went well.

Day 153

Hi everyone. This is day 153 with no interview. My status has been "case is ready to be scheduled for interview" for 97 days. Luckily I already received my EAD. Sucks because I sent my medical in when i sent all my information in. I just hope it doesn't expire.

My EAD has also been approved and my PD was 02/23...

My 485 says ready to be scheduled for interview but I have not received any courtesy letter for i-693 (i did not submit the medial with my application because from other people?s experience it can expire before the interview and need to be repeated so I figured let me wait until i get the i-693 courtesy letter)...

I am kind of surprised because it seems others get the courtesy letter 1st before their case changes to ready to schedule interview..

Should i go ahead and do the medical now and hold onto it or should I wait for a bit longer. I am filing from atlanta and I am not sure how long it will be from ready to schedule interview until interview scheduled. Any suggestions?

05/21/2018 - status update to "ready to be scheduled for an interview"

Wow, guess everyone has different experiences; I saw it the opposite.
I saw :

status update to "ready to be scheduled for an interview" then,
status update on egov.uscis.gov, "fingerprint review was completed.

Nothing since then. That last update was June 23rd

Another Update

As of July 16, 2018 Case is ready to be scheduled for an Interview - posted today.

I hope I will get an interview notice soon.

My PD is February 26th and i haven?t received anything yet. I sent an expedite request on July 3rd and all I have received is a letter saying my case is under review.

Thanks to previous posters. Lot's of useful info to be found.

Here's my filing:

Marriage-based AOS to USC - Concurrent filing for 485/130/131/765. We live in Brooklyn, NY

02-28-18 - Priority date.
03-10-18 - 4 I-797 NOA letters - by mail.
03-26-18 - RFIE for I-864 (stupid mistake by me unfortunately. I filed the EZ form which I was eligible to but missed one box to check. *Sigh*)
04-06-18 - We received RFIE for i-485
04-12-18 - Fingerprints review completed we work on i-485 and i-765

I have a job offer which of course require me to receive my EAD.
Is sending an expedite request really useful? Many people tell me in my case it's useless.
I was on a work related visa E1 until March but lost that job and the visa too.
My wife is working and we get by but the wait is exhausting and I also don't want to miss out on that job as it would get us to the West Coast.
