And is when I'll have my interview anyway.

    • The service request script has been updated. Yet another step in GC without EAD. Also getting very difficult to talk to a Tier 2 officer. Guess USCIS aint messing around when it comes to that proposed report.

Potential employer I was talking to went silent since they got sick of waiting...this whole process sucks...

      • Has anyone here had their interview and received their GC already?

AOS interview was in Chicago on 5/15, and the tracking number isn't working. My husband hasn't been able to get any more info regarding his case by calling the help line, and his requests to speak to a level 2 officer have been denied. We haven't received any updates or letters.

        Thanks, all. Best of luck.

        • Update: I didn?t get any updates after the interview and I was freaking out. This morning I got an email notification and the website said my I-130 and I-485 status was approved and card was being produced. The date for the action taken was listed as May 31 (exactly one week after interview).

My interview was quite relaxed. The officer asked the usual questions: what are your in-laws names? What is your spouse?s date of birth? How did you meet? He also asked us to walk through our timeline. He said halfway through that he didn?t care about a lot of our evidence because \?if you seemed suspicious, I would have made you come back for another interview \?
This put us at ease. He then walked through all the standard questions about whether I have been arrested, committed crimes etc all of which I answered no to. He took very little of our evidence saying they had limited space. We had come prepared with a large binder organized with documents and pictures.
He concluded the interview and asked if we had any questions. I asked what happens next. He said we would receive the Green card in 30 days or so. (He never explicitly said we are approved.. so we walked away a little confused). But overall seemed positive

Congratulations, hokie_u2!!! Would you please clarify if you had sent all your evidence of bona fide marriage with your AOS applications? It sounds like the officer had his mind made up already before the interview started. Since he did not care that much about the stack you brought in, it'd be fantastic if you would let us know. Thank you!

PS: Don't forget to start gathering your evidence to file the I-751 Removal of conditions.

We frontloaded the evidence when we filed the forms. Evidence included copy of our lease together, tickets and photos from trips together, labeled photo with families etc.

After that, we had created some joint accounts like a bank account and cell phone family plan. So for the interview, we brought that. I used a table of contents similar to the one you and others posted to organize the interview evidence. I divided all evidence into three categories : Cohabitation, Relationship and Finances. During the interview, I basically read the table of contents and asked the officer what he wanted to see. He picked 1-2 items from each category. Ultimately I think the officer made his decision based on the relationship my spouse and I had. However, being organized in with the evidence was very helpful for me to feel prepared and relaxed, and also to walk the officer through everything that could be helpful. So sincere thanks to everyone who shared their methods in this forum !

Thank you for the summary. Our lawyer that prepared our file made us not include evidence of bonafide marriage. I was quite furious but we can we do. I hope we will get a nice officer who will understand on the day of the interview. I wish I had joined this forum before sending in the application.

That's awesome! You left nothing to chance and it paid off. You made it easier to approve you. They see all that evidence organized by categories, and know that you covered your bases. They can just focus on chatting with you. Like you said, being overly prepared helped you feel prepared, relaxed and in control of the situation. "I basically read the table of contents and asked the officer what he wanted to see. He picked 1-2 items from each category." That's just phenomenal. WELL DONE!

I think that you will be fine as long as you don't show up to the interview emptyhanded. And we know you won't. It's key to be aware that issuing a notice of intent to deny might be in the mind of an uber cranky officer. However, as others have reported, most ISOs have gone through the evidence people have presented during the interview and everything has been fine in the end. Some have gotten an approval on the spot, while others have had to wait for the ISO to review the evidence, and have gotten their approval later.

                            • Sr question

I raised a SR on May 22 for my Ead/485 and yesterday 6/6/2018 I check the website and it was saying that my case was assigned to an officer for review on June 1st 2018 but today I check again the website and it?s showing today?s date 6/7/2018 that my case was assigned again to an officer for review.

Does anyone knows why I have 2 different dates or what do I need to do?

                              My PD is 2/14/2018
                              No interview yet

I had my interview yesterday. We were asked about how we met, when we started dating, who proposed and when and if we met each other?s family. The interview was pretty quick and we got approved on the spot. He took 5 pics from my album and only looked at one document which was the lease for our new apartment. So now I?m just waiting on the actual card in hand.
