Because that's what the second employee at the front told me before taking me to the US citizens line and calling my husband. She said something among the lines of: "If you ask them they'll separate you but they shouldn't".

I was moved to the US citizens line when I told one of the employees that my husband was in the US citizens line. I'm no attorney or officer tho so I'm just telling my experience.

I am about to reach the 120 day mark before my EAD/AP date of expiration, and I plan to send an early renewal application on the 119th day mark.
There seems to be indications from others in the forum that an application to extend EAD/AP triggers an interview schedule being set.
Looking forward to read any response.
    Thank you.

    RFE Resolved: June 21, 2018
Requested expedite through ROC: Negative outcome
July 9, 2018: I-485 Status Changed to Case is Ready to be Scheduled for Interview
August 15, 2018: EAD/AP Approval Notice Received by Email
August 22, 2018: SS Card in Hand
August 31, 2018: EAD/AP Combo Card in Hand
September 1, 2018: Used EAD/AP Combo Card to apply for Canadian Visitors Visa
September 3, 2018: Canadian TRV approved
October 24, 2018: Travelled outside of US for medical purpose
November 4, 2018: Crossed into US border from Canada using EAD/AP Combo Card, Parole Approved
I applied to renew my EAD. I received a receipt and a letter stating they will reuse my fingerprints. I also got an interview letter after applying for the renewal. I had to reschedule my first interview (original date was a month ago) so I don't think the renewal triggered the interview.

Sure. Lets hope we both get interview soon.

    Thank you for your information.

I have read that I-765 can be renewed within 180 days form expiration date and I-131 within 120. I guess that combo cards could be renewed within 180 days then, because 120 days from Today is June 17, 2019.

That's funny because my husband (UK Citizen) always comes in the same line as me (US citizen) when we arrive back in the US. It just totally depends on the officer you deal with.

I do have a question, so would it be ok if my brother and his wife aren?t in the same line as my husband and I?
Yes, I think it would be perfectly fine for your brother and his wife to go in their designated lines, and should approach immigration officer together when their turn comes. I would err on the side of caution though and remind them that they should avoid informing the immigration officer that they travelled into the US with you and your husband in the same flight. Let them make a general declaration that they're visiting you and your husband and keeping your husband's address and mobile/contact information handy if that information isnt yet clear in the inbound customs form.

    Cheers :-)
