The update does not always happen right away. You're fine.

yeah I just wish there was a cut off of how long the wait for update after bio appointment should be until it becomes abnormally long but looks like everyone is different

Note to others: do not celebrate until you have your EAD in hand. So many things can go south, especially when it involves the USPS.
Congrats! What is the validity of the EAD? Is it 1 year?

                          • Wanted to share a small piece of info. When you will receive your EADs and SSNs, be prepared for a nightmare of paperwork, calls, emails and faxes. So far, I have called 3 banks (ones I have been banking with since before I got the SSN) to have them add my SSN to the credit cards, called my my car financial services to update my SSN on the lease, sent 4 faxes, 2 emails, and mailed one letter. It has been an exhausting 4 days since Monday. I am still not done. Bank of America (absolute worst bank ever for me, had billions of issues with them, and the only reason I am not dumping them is because my oldest credit card is with them), is STILL having difficulties linking my account to the SSN.

So be prepared for that, if you had any financial profiles before having an SSN. Make sure you make a comprehensive list of where updates need to be made.

Did you have SSN prior to this? Like through OPT or H1B? cause I heard your SSN doesn't change, they just give you a new card
