Taxes for 2018

Hi all,

I was wondering how you are filling taxes this year. I got married last year, and my husband has just his TIN. We are waiting on SSN/EAD. any advice?

Interesting that the "Receipt Date for a Case Inquiry" is exactly September 4th 2018 on the Processing Time website

Hi ArizonaPHX, call Customer Service and ask to talk to a Tier 2 officer. Don't let Tier 1 bring you down! Some of them treat very superficial the Expedite Requests.

Hi, I called two weeks ago and spoke to L2 officer and I asked him to for an expedite request, he said write a letter and send it this fax number. I wrote a letter and faxed it on Feb 11 but I did not hear back from them so I called again today. Today I called and asked for L2 officer and they called me back the officer was nice and he told me that he does not see any request to expedite my I-765 so I asked him to put one and he did. According to him I should hear back from them by Feb 26 and I asked him if I should give me email he said no they will mail what they need. Each officer gave me different information but whatever Im not mad or anything. If it meant to come before I lose my job it will happen if not nothing I can do

If I do not receive my EAD in a month I will lose my job. My current OPT EAD will expire in a 30 days from today.
Faxed expedite request on Feb 11th and still haven't heard anything yet. Happy for those who got their EAD and hopefully we are next

I did not receive a text or status update of ?New Card is being produced? I just suddenly got the EAD approval letter in mail.
My I-765 status went from ?Case was Recieved? to ?Card was Mailed to me? No other Status Update.


Here is my Timeline and Status Update:

09/14/18 - PD
10/04/18 - Fingerprint Review was completed
01/23/19 - Case Ready to be Scheduled for an Interview
02/19/19 - Recived EAD Approval letter in mail
02/19/19 - Text, Email and Case tracker update of ?Card was Mailed to me? at 9:45pm

How Long?

Another Update;

Guys, I just got an Email and Text notification that my EAD card was mailed to me! Case tracker updated also but not sure if it was picked up by Usps or not. lol Hopefully by Sat I will have news🙏

I got text saying "New Card is being produced" on FEB-14 and now is 5 days already still no EAD.

Hi I just call the USCIS contact center and ask them to speak to a Tier 2 officer.

I plan to call USCIS and talk to Tier 2 next week if nothing happens this week. I will keep on pestering them to take action and be extra polite about it! Lol

Hi Guys!

Great news today I recieved a letter that my EAD was approved last Feb 14.
Curious I did not get any USCIS notification or status update on any of my accounts.

Oh I did not Expedite my EAD.
